My latest word is "Yakata De Arbre". Literally translates to tree boat, but refers to a type of tree house that can be turned into an Arc during times when ocean water floods the mainland.

It's likely it will shift into: Arbrekata.

My latest word in Bodin is ducurma /dʊku˞mə/, meaning "hubris". It's a compound of dux /dʊks/ "too much, over-" and curma /ku˞mə/ "pride".

:con: Yoshó amafakó "then, so"

This is not used like English ─ it is sentence-initial. To say "X, so Y," one would say "X. Amafakó, Y."

bees [beh]
- strawberry
- penile glans

bees u tek ['behʊ'tɛʔ]
- penis (glans and stem)

kubees ['kubeh]
- literally 'to strawberry-eat'
- but practically 'to give oral sex to a man'

I just decided that Kobardon will have a root n-, whose adverbial form is used to mark irrealis clauses.

njHobn

Pronunciation:
nj-H-obn
chuff, short low strong grunt, long high strong growl, yip, short low strong whine, chuff)

Etymology:
From njH (hearth) + obn (star). Compound nouns in Commonthroat are head-initial.

Translation:
Star hearth

Definition:
A fusion reactor, especially as used in the liturgies of the Bright Way.

Not to be confused with:
obnnjH

Pronunciation:
obn-nj-H
yip, short low strong whine, chuff, chuff, short low strong grunt, long high strong growl

Etymology
from obn (star) + njH (hearth)

Translation:
hearth star, Focus (The human-pronounceable proper name for the yinrih's sun)

Definition:
The sun, the star at the center of a planetary system.
ndbodb

Pronunciation:
ndb-odb
huff, short falling strong whine, yip, short falling strong whine

Etymology:
From ndb (gut) + odb (child, pup, kit)

Translation:
Puppy gut

Definition:
1. A picky eater, one who has the narrow culinary palate of a child.
2. (derogatory) a vegan or vegetarian (by extension of the above, since the host or cook needs to provide alternative meals for both. Vegetarianism is completely alien to the yinrih, who are obligate carnivores)
oBaoEF

Pronunciation:
oBa-oEF
yip, late low weakening whine, yip, long low strengthening growl

Etymology:
From oBa craft, ship + oEF womb-nest (a complex egg sac that holds a litter of unhatched yinrih kits)

Translation:
womb ship

Definition:
A small single-use interstellar spacecraft used by missionaries of the Bright Way. Missionaries are placed in suspension capsules that halt metabolism but keep the brain active and able to interface with the ship's systems. The name comes from the resemblance of the ship's interior to that of a yinrih womb-nest, with the suspension capsules compared to the amniotic sacs that surround each individual kit as it gestates. The ship is incapable of launching again after landing on a planet's surface, so the ship only lands if the ship's AI detects non random radio signals. It will return home otherwise. It took them a few tries to figure out the whole "come back if the planet is lifeless" thing, and the first missionaries are venerated as "the lost martyrs".

The newest word in my conlang, Zomítla, as of today, is 'kamairutsi' meaning 'charity organization'. There is no etymology to it.

The womb ship idea is interesting. I remember seeing you mention them when i was here for Lexember but wasnt sure if it was based on the shape of the ship or on something else.

I suppose the newest word in Play is nuše, a near point in the future, since Play has no grammatical future tense, and therefore must use constructions like nušes "when the near future comes"; or more concisely, "soon".

edit: a NOTE. Anything I post in this thread is subject to change, as Play is still far from stable. I've already ruled out using nušes or anything like it for this function, because I think the morphemes make more sense in the other order, and because I see now that I already had a similar word in the dictionary but one which merely lacked the future tense sense. So, using half of that word and half of this one, for now the new word for "near future" is tinu, which as above adds an -s to become tinus "soon".

From the outside, womb ships look a lot like deep-sea submersibles. I started this project last summer around the time of the Titan implosion, and that's what inspired the overall look.
