Oh, well, thank you. Also, you got me quite intrigued by what *exactly* you mean. A slavishness to coarticulation, four diphthongs (for some reason), the prospect of nasalization, quirky allophony, and a bizarre love affair with my clusters?

I didn't know I had an any sort of noticeable aesthetic.

Wouldn't *t be better analysed as *k if its always a glottal stop?

Perhaps, but it did evolve from /*-t/, as did /*-n/ into /-ɴ/. They are qualitatively more akin to archiphonemes /N Q/, but I wanted a slightly less-extreme transcription, hoping the implication still obvious in the distribution of the finals. Thus, leaving /-l/ the only true final consonant.

Eh, it’s hard to quantify precisely. Part of it is probably the presentation, too. But it’d be difficult for me to explain the specifics, I guess.

Plus, this way all the finals are coronals.

Edit: Oh, this was my 1,700th post! Forgot I was near the milestone.
Edit: Fixed the formatting.

Very astute about the desire for only final coronals. Also, congratulations on being old as dirt by the board's standards. 😁

I am NOT old as dirt — well, it depends where you’re sourcing your dirt, I suppose. But thanks nonetheless!

Okay, I see you got here in 2022, so I rethink what I said. It's just that 1700 posts/replies is absurdly impressive. I have been here for some time and only have a little over 300. (My claim to some fame is a post in Skasti with over 1000 edits.)

Well, thank you. I’ve noticed that post, by the way, and calculated that you must have edited it multiple times a day on average, which is an impressive accomplishment. (Even my table of contents post has only been edited 125 times.)

I literally made Skasti while homeless, sitting near the Colorado River. I had nothing but time. That said, this site is actually why. I would edit, then the site insisted I "had to be logged in," destroying my progress. About a third of my 1000 edits was a site bug.
