Technoquintlan
Technoquintlan is basically the far future version of a world where travel (possibly using a wormhole) between Earth and Tricin is possible. Travel is possible since about 1900, but the great influx of immigrants between the worlds shouldn't be around 2050 at the very earliest. The 'present day' for this conworld is taken to be Trician fT 2700, or about Gregorian year 2400.
Basically, I am trying to worldbuild some stuff in it.
Stuff I've done for it:
Theocracy of the Last City - one of the cities in Technoquintlan (this is a draft)
Wug Nlab - you have seen this conlang before
Please let me know what to do, I suck at worldbuilding and I need help with it...

I'm curious: Do these people consider homosexuality and bisexuality "ungodly"? What about transgenderism?
Do both species inhabiting The Last City have the same belief about the number of genders there are? (Some of the sapient species in the Lehola Galaxy, such as the gwuelatls and shugls, have three sexes: spermers, eggers, and carriers.)
I'm also curious: Do most of the Caucasian people in the last city practice Judaism? (You said 4% are Caucasian, and 3.5% practice Judaism.) How did the Jews get into and go along with such a Christianity-based colony?

Yes, these people consider all forms of LGBTQIA+ identity ungodly.Khemehekis wrote: ↑14 Jan 2025 21:54 I'm curious: Do these people consider homosexuality and bisexuality "ungodly"? What about transgenderism?
Trician humans are exactly Homo sapiens sapiens. Hence there is only one species inhabiting the Last City, and they believe that there are only two genders: male and female.Khemehekis wrote: ↑14 Jan 2025 21:54 Do both species inhabiting The Last City have the same belief about the number of genders there are? Oof, I didn't think of that... Religions are more-or-less evenly spread out across all the races.Khemehekis wrote: ↑14 Jan 2025 21:54 I'm also curious: Do most of the Caucasian people in the last city practice Judaism? On what technological level is Technoquintlan?

Re: Technoquintlan
Due to an economic collapse in the Terran mid-21st century and the Trician mid-24th hundredyear (about late 21st-century for us Terrans), the internet was abandoned and technology overall regressed a few hundred (Terran or Trician) years on both planets. With the colonization of other planets in their solar systems, however, the humans knew the mistakes they made on Earth and Tricin, and so green (i.e. net carbon-zero) technologies were devised. Essentially, "present day" Technoquintlan (about 400 to 450 Terran years from now) would have computers and computing power similar to our own (but scaled up because, well, there are a lot more humans), but almost everything else is more energy-efficient. Mega-arcologies are also common on the other planets that are not Terra or Tricin.

How Terrans and Tricins can travel to each other?

*Tricians
Interplanetary wormholes. I haven't worked out exactly where they are yet.
Jeez, I'd better write all this down in a single document...

So they lost most of their technology but wormholes were so advanced that they survived the economical collapse?H. H. P. M. P. Cole wrote: ↑15 Jan 2025 23:56Interplanetary wormholes. I haven't worked out exactly where they are yet.
It's a very good idea. It will make presentation of Technoquintlan very easier and it will help you think through the conworld.H. H. P. M. P. Cole wrote: ↑15 Jan 2025 23:56 Jeez, I'd better write all this down in a single document...

I have finished the first stable draft of the Theocracy of the Last City. Feel free to ask or make comments.
A summary of Technoquintlanian history and technological progress is coming soon.

Re: Technoquintlan
Why aren't there more Catholics in the First City? They're the largest Christian religion on Earth (globally, there are more Catholics than Protestants).

Re: Technoquintlan
Unless I am missing something, many Romance language-speaking countries have majority Catholic populations (excluding irreligious peoples). Unfortunately, I also do not have the expertise to map out how a Catholic population would affect a majority-Protestant city. Also, I don't really like the Romance languages (I am more of a Germanic language liker...) or the RCC for that matter (I do not mean to offend any Catholics).
Also, much of the worldbuilding is out of my reach - why did I even start this? (Probably it was an excuse to put Wug Nlab into a worldbuild)
Never mind, I should stick to the actual languages and musical styles in Technoquintlan...

Well, you could look at parts of England, maybe France...even Maryland in the USA, or Ireland.H. H. P. M. P. Well, one option is to use the elements of worldbuilding you've already established here, to have the RCC take a different path than it did In Our Timeline. Also, I don't really like the Romance languages (I am more of a Germanic language liker...) or the RCC for that matter (I do not mean to offend any Catholics).
thats also an option. :)Never mind, I should stick to the actual languages and musical styles in Technoquintlan...
(but if you need help, just ask anyone here)

Save me. I have too many disconnected ideas for this worldbuild, mainly because it is just that big - I really have no idea what to do.
Maybe I should quit this worldbuild despite the fact that I am starting to work on how other fringe groups would conceptualize music.
An idea: the people of the Theocracy of the Last City would use the greenland temperament as a tuning standard, as building instruments with many notes per octave would be near-impossible.

Re: Technoquintlan
I would say don’t abandon it, but take some time in developing it. Focus on the parts that interest you right now. I’m pretty slow & infrequent about developing my conworld.
