"Púlchútar fiann nhalí elfiadh mhuir beoslúdhíar brenni!"

Using this sentence, I (unsurprisingly) got Irish.

I generally have no problem telling why Google Translate thinks so and so in this thread. But when it comes to this, I'm stumped. It's awkward if anything. The only reason I can of is jottu.

I tried my standard Romanz dialect (Buonavallese).

"Me cramo Egerius et sò de Buonavalle. La cittade ést lo centro culturale et erat la capitále delo Imperio Buonavallese."

Google says it's Italian...

Ṣımıġeınıre ıulḥeıonıo. Iulḥeıonı. Inıymıhhıdlveıhǫtı?

Google thinks it's Turkish, probably because of all the tittle-less i's.
Also this is what it becomes:

Iulḥeıonıo to Ṣımıġeınır. Iulḥeıo it. Of Inıymıhhıdlveıhǫt?

As far as I see, google translate always thinks that the first word it can translate, whose language is it.

Pesas reo'vanit
yan tyacrata mancie iy'pastor
Re civindai
pi yan vi na'iven
Nosdas, tivelas, un'as na bolcat dulet

At mine, it translated pesas - weights, so it was supposed to be Galician.

Translation:

Take my hand
We can build a land from the ground up
I don't even mind
leaving it behind us
Watch and wait and work until it all falls down

My sentence "Inco sët jit nïfu ħo, nĵe giuvdes?" (Today's a nice day, don't you think?) was detected as... Italian.
Which is pretty curious, since I am Italian.

It thought Kamëzet (my first conlang [xD] ) was Albanian.

Søsøzatli was Maltese, then Zulu when i used another text, and then Icelandic. Wow. (Icelandic was probably because of the þ's and ð's)

And the language i'm working on now (Proto-Gigxkpoyan) is apparently also Albanian.

I don't think Kijóz̠ kik prjuth Thjughut', milth khópghut'rro s̠qkhlalth séwult̠' wort̠ Mimi prjuth thju ghut' s̠qrrop' looks Albanian.

Doing it in the only PG descendant i can actually write at yet

Maybe it defaults to that at some point, but with natural languages, it isn't fooled. Try "Indeed, le chat est sur la table" and it will detect French, not English.

With this text:

google thinks it's English. With this one:
Ralno: Lamān bejableyizūralgajuthuruinamororlin.
Yulu: Bableyizūralgajuthurmorordiorgli?
Ralno: Bableyizūralgajuthurulamiolāmāinam.

Ralno: Raljūnoeurodo lamān thejalthu algajuthurlirimulin. Raljānoeurodo yujīlueare. Thőzalān algajuthurlirimulin!
Yulu: Athaljo, athaljo.

it thinks it's Slovenian. With this one:

it thinks it's Basque.

It thinks this example: "Ṭaalḳarajaam śitaa å kuwëm" is Swahili. I don't know much about Swahili, but that doesn't seem to be a very good guess.

And it thinks this example: "Ën jaal maantaamjaam ni mët taam!" is Finnish. That seems to be a better guess, but not by much.

I tried it with:
1) Freeloglang, a work-in-progress loglang.
2) Hanilian, an alternative greek for my conworld, really close to greek.
3) Romanized Hanilian, because Hanilian will obviously yield greek and it's not really surprising.
4) Gadyl, Standard orthography
5) Gadyl, Romanization
6) uREd, an Esperanto reform

-Sample1 (Freeloglang)-
Ni dzen wao gifi zai bei
I am in the garden
Expected: Vietnamese
Result: Swahili

-Sample 2 (Hanilian)-
παρθτενατες ελει βασλιάω
The queen likes young girls
Expected: Greek
Result: Greek

-Sample 3 (Rom-Hanilian)-
parthtenates elei vasliáo
The queen likes young girls
Expected: Latin
Result: Estonian

-Sample 4 (Gadyl)-
TH SLD MH GW LH
Do you love me or her?
Expected: I really don't know
Result: English

-Sample 5 (Rom-Gadyl)-
Ta saled ma gou la?
Do you love me or her?
Expected: French
Result: Cebuano

-Sample 6 (uREd)-
Putandas einai ta geno meteto
Birth must be considered a miracle
Expected: Esperanto
Result: Lithuanian

Apparently the lithuanian guess is the best guess, as it gives a more-or-less meaningful translation:
"einai ta geno meteto"
uREd -> The birth being a miracle
Lithuanian -> have stopped going in the gene

Tried out Pazmat, with the sentences huyāva yedya cṛsūyoyīm ātāqsovyī. jhīqrīṣṣva ḥlujantu! wurfarā cṛsūyoya kṣausitha.

It gave me...Hmong? What.
