Re: CBB Audio Relay I (Sign ups)
Can I still join this relay with Taara
Sometimes what it takes to finally learn an important lesson is a very costly mistake.

Received! Starting to work on it now, though I'll probably be more productive once Yom Kippur is over
Re: CBB Audio Relay I (Sign ups)
Hey Yrusia! one week check in just to see that progress is happening on the torch!

I'm almost finished - should have the torch sent out by the end of the day!

Received!
Edit: Oh, goodness. This is beautiful but it is going to take... a very, very long time. Will be as swift as I can be.

In fact, if you have any resources for us about Stáč’i Góónína, I want to see them.

Re: CBB Audio Relay I (Sign ups)
Of course! I really should get to updating the thread I made about the family
TLDR: Stáč’i Góónína is the most divergent of the Takur languages, and the only one to maintain the North Australian-inspired compound verb system rather than turn it into a TAM system like its continental relatives I described...uhh...4 years ago? Kindof terrifying I've been working on them that long.

Re: CBB Audio Relay I (Sign ups)
How developed does my language have to be?
Can I still sign up?
Can this be done over email?

At work. Will be back.
Re: CBB Audio Relay I (Sign ups)
1. Enough to translate the text.
2. I don't know, best ask qwed.
3. If the next person and previous person are fine with it, probably.

Re: CBB Audio Relay I (Sign ups)
There’s no minimum for developedness but you should feel confident enough in your language and your abilities that if you had a short simple text you’d be able to translate it. Part of that comes from the language being developed but also your style of conlanging.
For now signups are rolling, but I don’t expect it to be an eternal relay.
As for emails, talk to the last person in the chain right now (Hand of Kyal)

Re: CBB Audio Relay I (Sign ups)
Update: I have, ah... two words figured out. Possibly. It's been quite a few hours, and it will be more. Won't have the time to work on it today, or probably tomorrow, or probably Thursday (I only really have Friday+the weekend, and this last weekend was filled with homework grading, with conlang-tackling wherever I could fit it in). Apologies in advance if this takes a bit longer than a week as a result - I am going as quickly as I can but have demonstrably poor/atypical audio processing. At least Stách'í Góónína is great fun to be working with!
Edit: Made more progress, will hopefully have this done over the weekend. Apologies for the delay! My weekday conlanging time is very limited.
Edit, 10/23: I'm sorry, all, this is taking a ridiculous amount of time. Apologies again. Currently have a translation (which is certainly in no way remotely accurate - apologies to Yrusia, whose language I'm certain I butchered, but at least I did so with enthusiasm!), will see if I can get an Alál recording/grammar done tonight.

Re: CBB Audio Relay I (Sign ups)
Update (in a new post so it bumps the thread): I swear I am almost done. I am so sorry this has taken so long - I probably should have asked to switch ordering, since this ended up coinciding perfectly with both midterms and a Halloween radio show thing I'm in, which have eaten every modicum of free time. (I've been slowly torch-grammar-sketch-writing on my phone during empty office hours, and backstage during rehearsal.)
I have sixteen essay drafts left to grade tonight, and when I am done with those, I promise I will finish and send the torch along - it's nearly complete, just need to write some phonology notes and add relevant (and not-relevant-but-phonologically similar) verb things. Given sufficient coffee, I might make it before sunrise. We shall see.

Re: CBB Audio Relay I (Sign ups)
Since we're drawing close to November, just giving advance notice that I will be unavailable from November 23-28, as I will be visiting family for US Thanksgiving in case I end up landing there.
Re: CBB Audio Relay I (Sign ups)
With current delays in mind, just wanted to know if you two are okay with switching, so that Mándinrùh goes after kiwikami. Let me know as soon as possible to minimize any confusion!Jackk wrote: --
