What do the D and the L stand for in 3SDL? I’m guessing 3s stands for 3rd-person singular. If DL stands for “dual” how does it fit on the same gloss as S for singular?

Or maybe SDL is just an anagram for his screenname . . .

Who are that couple?
The two, Edvárd Varyljév and Sofia Herțor Virel, are a pair (not a couple) consisting of an Ilian and Telemor diplomat who managed to successfully negotiate a friendship treaty between Ilia and Telemor after many decades of enmity (especially during the two reigns of the Bloody Queen), so this banknote is meant to commemorate 30 years since the friendship treaty was concluded.
And where is that bridge?
In real life? Porto, Portugal. In not-real-life? Russe, along the border between Telemor and Ilia.
And how did you get so good at creating folding money?
No idea. Probably practice.

Also, more money:

I see from the fine print on the bottom of the bills that the top one is a bird of paradise (although I do not know which of the many species of birds of paradise it is), and the bottom one is a scarlet macaw. Of the others, the second from the top looks to me like a pileated woodpecker, and the second from the bottom is definitely a belted kingfisher.

The bird in the middle, however, has me stumped. It looks a little like a pigeon, but not quite, and the caption at the bottom reads, "Malecanam..." before it is cut off. (Trying to Google based on the partial name brought no result.)

The motif recap:
50 (red): Scarlet macaw (Ara macao)
100 (green): Belted kingfisher (Megaceryle alcyon)
200 (purple): Olive-backed quail-dove (Leptotrygon veraguensis, called in the Pearl Islands a Malecanan dove due to its habitat)
500 (orange): Ivory-billed woodpecker (Campephilus principalis, not a pileated woodpecker!)
1000 (blue): Greater bird of paradise (Paradisaea apoda, but just called "bird of paradise" here)
And I'll dance with you in Vienna,
I'll be wearing a river's disguise;
The hyacinth wild on my shoulder,
My mouth on the dew of your thigh...

Thank you for the clarifications! I didn't even think of the ivory-billed woodpecker. The pileated and ivory-bill do look somewhat alike, but after comparing photos of the two, I can definitely see the differences (in particular, the white markings on the wings of the ivory-bill, which the pileated lacks).

I had not heard of the olive-backed quail dove before; thank you for enlightening me!

No worry! Given these banknotes are for a tropical/subtropical island country (perhaps fitting given I myself was born on a tropical island), I went through and selected birds that were found in tropical climes, preferably islands, and these are what I settled on. (The flower motifs also are also tropical, though I forget all the flowers I picked for them off the top of my head...) Notably, pileated woodpeckers are generally native to the continental US only, while there was/is an ivory-billed woodpecker subspecies native to Cuba, so that seemed more fitting.

This is a conlang-themed parody of "The Boxer" (Simon and Garfunkel). It's a work in progress, so feedback is appreciated.

be warned I have no musical talent

I am just a strange one
Unknown to most the world
I have written on my pages
Esoteric words and phrases
And characters

Some, they detest
Or are confused by what I do, but I am not dispossessed

All of my friends and family
Look on with bemused eyes
Or perhaps they do not notice
Maybe some are intrigued, but most
Couldn’t be
Though some will stare, I know there are little places
With others like me there
Many do exist, even though they may be rare

I'd rather not post and run like I did last time, so take this snippet from a 4k short story I'm writing:
The Captain always had a bone to pick with him. Always sneering at him whenever he passed by, making pointed comments about his species whenever possible. Subtle enough for no one else to notice but him. Hearing the word “thumper” slip past his muzzle just now was a bit of a relief, though. It was a confirmation of his suspicions. He’d heard it said enough about his family.
“There’ll be more war fodder coming, I figure,” he muttered to himself, echoing the Captain’s sharp sentiments under his breath.
Blending into the crowd of other rabbits, he shuffled his way through the trenches. It was like a burrow, but so much worse. Sure, their passages were narrow and winding and constricting when trying to navigate a hall of siblings, but there was always a sense of security, comfort, and warmth present. None of that was here. These may have been his brothers in arms, but at the end of the day, nothing could replace the emptiness and hollowness he harbored in his madly beating heart.
