This is a lot more like French than the previous version. I think I went a little overboard with the negation in 2016. One thing I'd like to try again — and used in this update — is forming the partitive with only the oblique case. For a good while, the partitive could also take the nominative or accusative case, as appropriate for its grammatical role, and it could have any grammatical role. But this restriction to oblique will prevent partitive subjects, which could be neat.

Ärque displays syntactic but not phonological noun incorporation; a direct or oblique object can directly follow the verb, usually clause-initial, and come before the person/aspect enclitic, although not merging phonologically with the preceding word. This is used here as a marker of gnomic or habitual action; compare the alternative:
