I was stress testing my new Agyonnar verb inflections when I stumbled upon this lovely little thing: "Adarelama thoz." Translated, "Disappointingly, I was told by the host that the party will be starting later than expected." Pretty compact!

I was reluctant to put it in the first post since then it'd just get copied over and over for the whole thread, but here it is:

-el is prospective + incohative aspect. -ama is mirative + primary-source hearsay evidential. The prospective being used here shows how the speaker wants to put emphasis on how the anticipation of the future result will affect current planning. The primary-source hearsay is used when the person you received the information from is a person who is or was a direct participator in the action at hand (in the case of a party being delayed, that could only be the person in charge of making the decision behind the delay, the host.) The mirative could have been interpreted in a few ways without further context but I chose to interpret it as disappointment. All in all the whole thing's a bit contrived, but that's kinda the point.

I was told that the host's party will be starting later than expected, dissapointingly.

I guess this means that akébo 'to tell s.th.' has an irregular passive interpretation now. But you cannot readd the agent, so I made it the host's party instead. unipabódaion 'a party of' is one of the longest words so far. Adverbs come at the end, and I already had a root for ... surprise .... surprise , which I could use to derive a not-enough-surprise, i.e. a dissappointment. And then I started to wonder what to do about the future and the word later. And then it hit me. If the future marker brontat is an adverb, it can get an augmentative-elative, i.e. an event can be too far in the future. Et voila, only two adverbs instead of three.

Ärque

Ärque is intended to be as pithy as possible, although I couldn't quite get it down to two words; we'll have to live with three. It is however quite different in formation from Micamo's original - literally, "the party having been delayed, I was informed by the host (dissapointingly)".
