To celebrate the 100,000-word milestone for my biggest conlang, I have created a Quattro Pro X9 spreadsheet file of a dictionary of the first 100,810 words in Kankonian. It is organized as an alphabetical English-Kankonian list, and has 137,909 lines.

Kankonian reached 101,112 words with kahili, meaning "kahili". It's a borrowing from Hawaiian (duh).

Awww, thanks, Visions1. I'm also sorry that you couldn't be here when I reached 100,000!

Anyway, I reached 102,500 words yesterday with Danorghas. Danorghas is a city in Durben. The word was created to offset the Terran place name Litshfild, meaning Lichfield.



I also just got halfway through the IGCE list. "Liveability" is word #30,406, which is exactly halfway. A few minutes ago I created Litvak (meaning Litvak, of course).

Also, I forgot to notice it when I got there, but word #103,823 (47 cubed) was Mekaniksvil (Mechanicsville). I offset this Terran place name with Grondzhoi (Gronjoi, a city in Durben).

Commonthroat now has at least 700 words, not counting multi-word entries in my lexicon. The word with entry ID 700 was 𝚜𝚖𝚏𝚌𝚐 "wild animal" which I posted about yesterday. I may start separating entries that have highly divergent meanings in different voices or aspects into separate notes, which would inflate the lexicon. I also need to integrate the loanwords I introduced from Outlander and Hearthsider.

Oh cool, they say seven is a magic number -- same goes for 700!

Some of my Leholangs have a noun for "marine animal" -- including Shaleyan's word, which I mention at the very beginning of this thread.

Word #105,000 was mephyer, meaning "regolith". Why did I translate this R-word when I was in the M's, you ask? Well, I needed a word for "moondust, lunar regolith". So I created this one as #105,000 and then added phodos (moon) to the beginning to make phodosmephyer for moondust, which was word #105,001.

Next milestone: 107,500!
