DE POSTVLATIONVM (of the Rules)
Each supplicant of Mercury will receive the following components from the host at midnight UTC on Monday:
- A text in a conlang
- A short grammatical guide to the same conlang
- A lexicon containing all roots found in the text
- Any other reference as may be necessary to interpret the text
The text produced by the final supplicant shall be translated back into English by your humble host.
Returning supplicants please note the following rule changes for this relay:
- Torches will be sent only to the host
- The host will send each torch to the next participant at midnight UTC Monday
- Materials are due by 23:00 (11:00 PM) UTC on Sunday
- The Sunday deadline will be absolute to within a few minutes so that people who need to plan around family events, travel, etc. can do so with confidence
- To make up for the hard deadline, the allotted turnaround time is increased from 72 hours to a week. This also ensures that everybody gets a weekend.

For anyone new to these relays, check out the previous ones, listed below, for an idea of how it works. Here is an example of a torch. Don't feel obliged to make a document, it's fine just typing it up in a DM.
Some other tips:
- Don't be afraid to use unexplained idioms
- Feel free to adapt any technological or biological terms to match your conworld if necessary
- Don't worry about matching grammatical structures from the original text. If you need to use a passive where there isn't one in the text or your language doesn't have the applicatives that are present in the source, remember that the goal is to translate the meaning, not the words.
- It's fine to match the conventions of your conpeople. For example, it is fine to adjust dialogue to match characteristic speech patterns of your people.
- If your torch was missing a component, contact the host
- If you think there is a word missing from the lexicon, please reach out directly to the previous supplicant
