What can I say? It doesn't fit above, put it here. Also the location of board rules/info.

You can actually make that even shorter by only using one "url" in the first tag:

Code: Select all

[url=https://cbbforum.com]The CBB[/url]
Which creates the link : The CBB

I today made two times detailed signature and two times my work vanished because of stupid character limit of a signature. Finally I made a simpler signature, which you can see below.

When drafting a signature, use the "Preview" button instead of "Submit." That way, your work will be saved even if it's over the character limit.

Hey, I hope this is the right place to post it.
I noticed that every private message I try to send gets stuck in the outbox.
I'm trying to reply to an important PM I got, but the system just won't send it.
Is there something wrong with my account? Can a mod/admin check?

IIRC "outbox" and "sent" are distinct, and orders stay in "outbox" until the recipient opens the PM (had to double check, but someone mentioned this here). So the messages have probably been sent, but just might be that the recipient either hasn't been online yet to check their PMs, or just hasn't checked their PMs yet

I've got 3 PMs in my outbox, one from 2017, because the users just didn't log back in, lol

But it never gets any more true,

Does anyone have the templates for the flag icons? I’d like to make some for Twin Aster (I know the onus for hosting them is on me), but want to keep consistency with what the board already has.

I went to Zompist Board. I saw that it's now Zompist Board Again and that it's now Register option. I decided to register, but I must answer a question about "secret code". What is it? What should I write to register? If you don't know, what should I do?

I did have to search for it but you have to email Zompist to get the code. https://www.verduria.org/viewtopic.php? ... ration#p29

Hi, I noticed some incorrect grammar here & I saw from your signature that you’re a non-native speaker. Would you like some tips on how to say that better or would that bother you?

I saw :gbr: [:)] and figured since it wasn’t as big of a smile as :idn: [:D] that you weren’t as proficient in English as whatever language that other flag was.

I'm going to need help from someone who understands engineering. I came across the word "microplane" on the IGCE list.

Wiktionary defines "microplane" as:

(engineering) One of a set of microscopic planes, variously oriented, within a material, used in modelling stresses etc.

Which sense of the word "plane" is meant here? Probably not the carpentry tool, I would guess. Wikipedia's article [[Microplane]] is just about the grater.

I'm not an engineer, but I do believe they refer to microscopic crystalline structures within metals, minerals, etc. The crystalline structure of a material like iron or steel will determine how hard or brittle or strong the material is. Good thing to know if you're building the framework for a new bridge between planets or something like that.

One thing I'm pretty certain it doesn't refer to is a kitchen gadget called a "microplane"!

I've spent two years trying to figure out.

Probably an image hosting website, but I've had trouble.

There isn't a direct method of adding a picture to a post. Like Arayaz said, you'll need to use an image hosting site and copy-paste a URL to the image file between [img] tags. Imgur is a common choice (and even provides a BBCode option). Make sure the URL you use points directly to the image file rather than a page with the image on it; if the URL ends in an image file extension like .jpg, that's a good sign.
